Did you know that in 2013 only 61% of children achieved 5 good GCSEs? This means that 39% of children didn’t achieve 5 A*-C grades at GCSE including Maths and English. These students have been forced to resit their exams instead of continuing to the A-Levels or Vocational courses that they may have needed to achieve their dream careers. The truth is that once a child falls behind in class a busy teacher with 30 or more students has little chance to devote the one to one time to a single child and help them catch up. Here at Maths Doctor we work to provide high quality maths tuition. Our experienced and friendly maths tutors will work with you and your child to identify their weakness’ and bridge those gaps to help them catch up and take part in school classes, and rebuild their confidence so they can achieve the highest levels. Pick up the phone and give us a call on 0800 088 2820 or fill out the form and one of our team will get back to you for a free no obligation assessment.

Education in Hampshire

Photograph of Winchester Cathedral in Hampshire

Out of the 425 state operated primary schools in Hampshire, 29% are overcrowded. Of the 70 state secondary institutions, the percentage of those which are overcrowded is slightly less at 19%. Of the 87% of school children who stay in education after their GCSE’s, 37% enter further education college, 6% school sixth form and 42% head to sixth form college. Don't be affected by overcrowding in Hampshire. If your child is struggling in maths, look no further than Maths Doctor who can provide quality tutors to help boost your child's grades.

As one of the most economically active and growing counties in England, Hampshire has an excellent and competitive school system. Of the 14 Further Education colleges, 6 are graded as outstanding, as well as 24 independent schools, and no less than 4 universities. Farnborough College, to look at just one, is ranked in the top 2% of colleges nationally, and with a 98% pass rate, their students will be on a stepping stone to the future. But like any good Further Education college they require 5 GCSEs at A*-C and references, so it is key that your child approaches their studies with full focus at any age. Tuition can help your child to be in the top level students that are able to achieve these grades and go on to achieve their dreams.
