Coverage of the privacy policy

This Privacy Policy covers our treatment of personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) that we gather when you are registering, accessing, using or participating in our Site and the products, software and services (“Services”) available on the Site, including without limitation access to the Services by or through the Site, any third party integration of the Services, and any software owned, operated or licensed by us or when you when you are accessing, using or creating any content via the Site.

We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13 or knowingly allow such persons to register for the Services. If you are under 13, please do not attempt to register for the Services or send any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, or email address. For example, we collect, Personal Information such as your name, email address and institutional or organizational affiliation in order to create an online account. We also receive and store information you provide to us that is contained in submissions, including without limitation, audio content, video content, whiteboard postings, figures, datasets and media you submit to the Site (altogether “Submissions”). We will also collect your payment details where you choose to purchase materials through our Site. You can choose not to provide us with certain information, but then you may not be able to register with us or take advantage of some or all of the Services featured on the Site. In this privacy policy, we may refer to your Personal Information and Submissions together as “Your Information”.

You should only provide Personal Information about yourself on the Site. If you share any Personal Information with us about other people, you must make sure that you have their consent to doing so. If you share any Personal Information with us about children, you must be their parent or legal guardian.

We may use Your Information for the following purposes:

  1. processing your competition entry, registration and facilitating your participation in the Site (including use of the interactive features);
  2. enabling you to communicate with other registered users (including tutors) as well as enabling other social and networking communications (such as audio or video tutorial sessions);
  3. monitoring compliance with the Terms of Use and complying with applicable law or regulations and Maths Doctor Tuition policies;
  4. investigating any complaints about the use of the Site;
  5. processing of payments related to material that you purchase; and
  6. for our internal Group business purposes (including recording keeping and accounts).
  7. enabling communications with you, including providing you with invitations and/or information about Maths Doctor Tuition products and services;

We may also share Your Information with other carefully selected organisations (i) whom we think may be of interest to you for their marketing purposes and/or (ii) whom are our recommended tutoring business in order to arrange directly with you specific services which you have requested. We may also share Your Information with service providers we have retained to perform services on our behalf. These service providers are not authorised by us to use or disclose Your Information except as necessary to perform services on our behalf or to comply with legal requirements. We reserve the right to transfer any information we have about you in the event we sell or transfer all or a portion of our business or assets.
